This was the best novel I’ve read in a long time. Gripping like a thriller with a unique premise while offering nuanced social commentary that offers opportunity for stimulating discussion. Incredible stuff.

As always, Cass tried to make some of the food relate to the novel in some way. For Fruit Fly, this meant home-made marshmallows with lemon curd on top, sprinkled with sesame seeds (because the seeds look like little fruit flies, obviously).

I watched the video below and it made me smile ear-to-ear seeing this community of ours do their thing.
